Introduction: Erythropoietin is a naturally occurring glycoprotein found in the body synthesized inside the interstitial fibroblasts in the kidney. The primary function of this protein istostimulateerythropoiesis (formation of red blood cells) inside the bone marrow. The stem cell, hemocytoblast, promotes the blood to carry more oxygen.
