Introduction:

Mycoplasma is a genus of prokaryotes, in which cell wall is not present over their cell membranes. As they do not consist of cell wall, many antibiotics that target cell wall cannot affect Mycoplasma. They are pleomorphic in shape due to the absence of cell wall, and they also contain sterol as a component of their cell membranes.
