Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Mitosis is also known as equational division as the number of chromosomes in parent cell is same as daughter cells. It is an important process of cell as it helps in replacement of cell and also responsible for the formation of new cell in developing embryo, fetus and infants.

During this phase the chromatin protein which a complex of DNA and protein become highly condensed and visible under light microscope. In mitosis chromosome divide and sister chromatids separates. Due to this separation each chromatids are called chromosomes and are diploid in nature as they receive a complete set of chromosome and are genetically identical to each other
