Introduction:

Tracheostomy (also called tracheotomy) is a type of surgery in which an incision is made in the anterior part of neck to make a direct passage for air to the trachea. This surgical procedure is normally undergone to bypass an obstruction, clean the airways and deliver oxygen to the lungs and so on.
