Systems development methodology is a set of framework which ensures proper planning of system development; this methodology includes structuring, planning and designing the process of developing a system.
There are several different systems development methodologies including
- Agile methodology
- Agile methodology is an iterative process; it ensures the continuous delivery of software components with a design point which uses a minimum requirement to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Waterfall methodology
- This methodology is an activity based linear sequential design approach. All the phases from planning to implementation and maintenance are performed sequentially, where output of one phase becomes input to the next phase.
- Rapid application development(RAD) methodology
- RAD ensures rapid development and iterative high quality delivery rather than the traditional method by using tools and predefined prototype techniques. It reduces the build time and accelerates the system development process with extensive user involvement...
