Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The immune system of an individual recognizes the antigens present in its own cells as self-antigens. Under normal condition, it does not produce any antibodies against self-antigens. However, the body produces antibodies against foreign antigens. ABO blood grouping is based on the presence or absence of antigens A and B, whereas Rh blood grouping is based on Rh antigen. Mr. Reczkiewicz has AB– blood group and he has a prior exposure to Rh antigen as well.
