The components of the circulatory system are heart, blood vessels, and blood. These components are vital for transporting nutrients to different body parts and removing waste products from the body. Blood is essential for transporting oxygen and different nutrients derived from food consumed. The heart pumps the blood that travels by different vessels. Blood also plays a vital role in the defense system of the body and regulating body temperature.
The circulatory system consists of heart, blood, and blood vessels, whereas the cardiovascular term is used only for the heart and the blood vessels that run throughout the body.
