Every fluid that tends to flow through a narrow, enclosed region exerts some pressure on the walls of the enclosure. Blood flowing through the blood vessels also exerts similar pressure on the walls of the vessels. This pressure can be measured by specific machines and it plays an important role in the wellbeing of a person.
