Introduction: The heart is a muscular pumping organ that passes the deoxygenated blood to the lungs and the oxygenated blood to all parts of the body. Thus, the human heart is called a dual pump. The blood vessels and the heart together constitute the cardiovascular system. The study of the heart is called cardiology.
