Introduction:
The somatomedins known as the Insulin-like growth hormone (IGFs) are released from the liver cells due to the action of the growth hormone. The functions of the growth hormones include activation of tissue growth, the transport of amino acids increases across the membrane of the cells, activation of protein synthesis and the cell growth. Therefore, the growth hormone is released due to an increase in the levels of somatomedins in the blood.
