Introduction:

The endocrine system is responsible for controlling major functions of the body by producing chemical messengers, which are secreted by the endocrine glands. The production of hormones follows a particular pathway, which begins when a stimulus is detected. The examples of hormones produced by the endocrine system are thyroid hormones, epinephrine, norepinephrine, and insulin hormone.
