Introduction:

Proteobacteria are Gram-negative bacteria consisting of an outer membrane, peptidoglycan cell-wall along with the inner plasma membrane. Tightly packed receptor proteins and porins can be found on the outer membrane. Porins help to facilitate the transportation of nutrients across the membrane.
