Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Platelet which is also called as thrombocytes is the membrane bound cell fragments. They do not have nucleus are not considered as true cells. The main function of platelets is in maintaining the balance in erythrocyte numbers in blood by hemostasis. It is a process by which bleeding is stopped by clotting at the time of injury or cut.
