The plausible pathway for the biosynthesis of Proline betaine should be identified.

Concept introduction:

Plants and bacteria able to produce some chemical compound those help in osmoregulation during salt stress. Proline, glycine, proline betaine and glycine betaine are examples of those compounds.

Biosynthesis or synthesis of compounds inside biologically active cells is an anabolic process occurs in every second in a living cell. Biosynthesis of proline betaine is a four steps process involving successive two N-methylation in the pyrrolidine groups of proline molecule.
