The Lineweaver – Burk equation is given below.

Where, Rmax is the maximum rate of a reaction, KM is Michaelis – Menten constant and [S] is the substrate concentration.

The above equation is in the form of y=mx+c.  If 1R is plotted against 1[S], a straight line with an intercept of 1Rmax and a slope of KMRmax can be obtained.
