To explain: The consequences and mechanism of the sudden increase and the decrease in the M cyclin concentration by the M-Cdk during the M phase.

Concept introduction: Cyclins are the regulatory part of the heterodimeric kinase involved in the cell cycle. Cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdks) are the catalytic part of the heterodimeric kinase.  Each cell cycle phase has its own cyclin and associated Cdk. As the name suggests, the Cdk can act only when the cyclin is present. Therefore, the cell uses this as a regulatory mechanism to regulate the cell cycle mechanism. The Cdks are present in all phases, but the cyclins are produced only during the previous Gap phases and are immediately degraded once their work is done. The cyclin for M phase is Cyclin B, and the Cdk is Cdk 1. The Cyclins and Cdk are required to activate the corresponding cell cycle phase.
