To review:
Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the causative agent for tuberculosis. If it infects a person, it means that a skin test gives positive results. Lipoarabinomannan is the TB protein used in the skin test.
Introduction:
Tuberculosis is caused by the infectious microbe Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is an opportunistic infection that can come with HIV. When there are abnormal effects seen in chest X-ray and tests, a skin test should be done for the confirmation of tuberculosis.
