Summary Introduction

To explain:  The reason to consider the statement “many human cell-cycles genes from human cells function perfectly well when expressed in yeast cells” as remarkable.

Introduction: The features of cell cycle such as time required to complete certain events vary from cell to cell. The basic organization of cell cycle is same in eukaryotic cells, and all eukaryotes use the similar machinery and control to regulate the cell-cycle events. The proteins of cell-cycle control has appeared billion years ago, but are so conserved in both human and yeast that many of them function perfectly when transferred from a human cell to a yeast cell.
