Summary Introduction

To review:

The cause of HDN (hemolytic disease of the newborn).

Introduction:

HDN is also referred to as hemolytic disease, which is considered to be an alloimmune state that grows in a peripartum fetus. This occurs when the IgG molecules are generated by the mother cross the placenta and enter the fetus blood. In simpler words, it means that the condition arises when there is an incompatibility present among the blood type of the fetus and the mother.
