To examine:  Whether the statement “Meiosis segregates the paternal homologs into sperm and the maternal homologs into eggs” is true or false.

Introduction: Most of the eukaryotic organisms produce sexually. This mix the genome of the two parents to generates the genetically distinct organism from the either parent. The cells which undergo such division are generally diploid that contains the homologs. Sexual cell division takes place by specialized nuclear divisions called meiosis, which produce the haploid cells. These haploids cells develop into gametes.
