Introduction: Reabsorption, also known as tubular reabsorption, is the mechanism by which the nephron eliminates solutes and water from the tubular fluid and also returns them to the circulating blood. Urea is filtered freely; in the proximal convoluted tubule, 50% is reabsorbed with the reabsorption of water.
