Summary Introduction
Introduction: Skeletal muscles are usually attached to bone by tendons and composed of numerous muscle fibers. Each muscle fiber contains hundreds to thousands of myofibrils which are small thread- like structure of the sarcoplasm. In myofibril, actin thin filaments and myosin thick filaments are organized into a linear chain of highly ordered structure, called sarcomeres. The actin filaments are attached to a so-called Z disc, from which the actin filaments interlink with the myosin filaments.
