Forces for change:

The forces for change occurs in six dimensions. They are:

  • The change like the workforce due to increased changes in terms of culture, demographics, immigration, and so on.
  • The change in technology continuously affecting and changing jobs, organizations.
  • The economic shocks are the economic slowdowns that affect the jobs and economies of countries all over the world.
  • With the increased level of competition across companies, organizations are forcing jobs and organizations to change.
  • The social trends of a product that goes around discussion among consumers who meet in blogs and chatrooms. These discussions force companies to continually change.
  • The politics surrounding globalization and issues between various nations all forcing organizations to adapt.

Planned change:

The proactive changes are made by organizations before the change is required is known as planned change. Organizations tend to forecast some changes for the future and prepare for the changes at an earlier period. This is known as planned change.
