Pancreas is a tadpole-shaped structure that is located in the posterior wall of the abdominal cavity. It has both exocrine as well as endocrine cells. The exocrine cells of the pancreas form the major part of the gland. These cells secrete the digestive enzymes that are helpful in the digestion of food.
