The cornea is dome-shaped tissue, which is present in the central portion of an eye. The corneal layer is lying or presents over the iris, which is a colored part of an eye. This tissue is comprised of six different layers of epithelial cells that have an ability to regenerate quickly if they are damaged. Cornea tissue is also called as “windshield of the eye”. Inflammation in the cornea is called as keratitis.
