Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The successful reproduction occurs only when species produce offspring. To prevent the successful reproduction some reproduction barriers termed as isolating mechanisms used. This type of mechanism occurs before the development of the zygote. Two types of reproduction isolation are prezygotic isolation and postzygotic isolation.

It includes temporal isolation, habitat isolation, behavioral isolation, gamete isolation, mechanical isolation, zygote mortality, hybrid sterility, and low F₂ fitness.
