Introduction: Company AA provides the number one best performance and service which makes them to be at the number one position. Lean initiative is one of the main aspects for superior performance of the company.
The VP of operation, Person BM, finds increase in productivity which is favorable for the growth of the company. The company focuses on continuous improvement, metrics which measures performance against targets and empowering employees with related to performance.
The company leadership had created seven-person Lean Department which provides extensive training to the employees, conductes engagement workshops, training to attain six-sigma green belt and even black belt.
The director of Airport Operations, Person JL, had observed that Lean eliminates wastes, exposes non-standard works. Lean has became the work culture of company AA, and the company works on project dealing with Kaizen, Lean and 5S. These tools provide muti-benefits to the company in various ways.
Another project related with lean which the company is working on is the passenger loading and unloading. The unique aspect of the project is that the company solar-powered switch-back staircase for unloading passengers through rear door which saves 17% of the previous unloading time with its new process.
