Introduction:
The process of blood clotting is called coagulation, which reinforces the formation of a platelet plug. The plug contains fibrin threads, which act as molecular glue for the aggregated platelets. Finally, a blood clot is formed, which seals the large breaks in a blood vessel. The process involves several clotting factors that are numbered I to XII. They are actually plasma proteins synthesized by the liver.
