Introduction:
The autonomic nervous system consists of two divisions namely sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. Both the systems work on synergistic and antagonistic effects on target organs. The sympathetic division controls the involuntary actions of physiology at the time of fight and flight. The parasympathetic division is to control the physiology at rest and digest. The parasympathetic system has less neural divergence, but they are more organs specific in action.
