Introduction: The pathway which provides voluntary control over skeletal muscles is called as the corticospinal pathway. Pyramidal cells act as the beginner cells of the primary motor cortex.

The three pairs of corticospinal pathway are:

• The corticobulbar tracts.
• The lateral corticospinal tracts.
• The anterior corticospinal tracts.
