Introduction:
The eyes consist of three tunics. They are:
1. The fibrous tunic is the outer layer and consists of sclera and cornea.
2. The vascular tunic is the middle layer and consists of the choroid, iris and ciliary body.
3. The nervous tunic is the inner layer and consists of the retina.
The eyes have two major compartments. The anterior compartment possesses the anterior chamber and posterior chamber filled with aqueous humor. The posterior compartment is filled with vitreous humor.
