Introduction:
Meiosis is a process of cell division in which four haploid daughter cells are produced. It is also known as a reductional division because the daughter cells receive the reduced number of chromosomes. Meiosis is important for the reproduction because it produces haploid gametes. Meiosis occurs in two stages meiosis I and meiosis II. The meiosis stages are also divided into four phases: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. The meiosis II is similar to that of mitosis.
