Concept Introduction:
Endothermic process − A process wherein the energy in the surrounding is absorbed is said to be as an endothermic process. This is generally absorbed in the form of heat. This process, in turn, cools the surrounding environment. In other words, the energy required to break the reactants’ bonds is more than the energy released by the products.
Exothermic process − A process wherein energy is released out is said to be as an exothermic reaction. The energy could be released in the form of heat or light. In other words, the energy required to break the reactants’ bonds is less than the energy released by the new bonds that occur in the products and this excess energy is released as heat. This process heats up the surroundings.
