To Explain:The reason due to which a certain note sung by an opera singer causes a crystal glass to shatter.

Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
When the natural frequency of a body matches with the frequency of the applied periodic force, then the body starts to vibrate rapidly with an amplified amplitude. This phenomenon is termed as resonance.
The crystal glass has a frequency of its own. When the frequency of the note sung by the opera singer matches the natural frequency of the crystal glass, it vibrates with an increased amplitude. The vibration becomes so high due to resonance that the crystal glass shatters.
Conclusion:
The note sung by an opera singer causes a crystal glass to shatter due to increased amplitude of vibration, because of resonance.

- Mick and Rick are twins born on Earth in the year 2175. Rick grows up to be an Earth-bound robotics technician while Mick becomes an intergalactic astronaut. Mick leaves the Earth on his first space mission in the year 2200 and travels, according to his clock, for 10 years at a speed of 0.75c. Unfortunately, at this point in his journey, the structure of his ship undergoes mechanical breakdown and the ship explodes.
