Generally, most adults had been told that eating meat (poultry, beef, and pork) is important. This source of protein should be consumed in adequate portions for overall good health. However, meats consumed in excess, tend to overshadow plant-based protein and other nutrient in foods. Plant-based or plant-forward eating patterns focus on foods primarily from plants.
