Summary Introduction

To define:

The central venous pressure.

Introduction:

The blood vessels in the body form a closed network, in which the blood flows from the heart to the tissues and back to the heart. There are five kinds of vessels in the body, namely- veins, arteries, arterioles, venules, and capillaries. The veins and the venules carry the deoxygenated blood. The only exception is the pulmonary veins. One of the functions of the veins is to act as the blood reservoir.
