Introduction:
The vibration of matter creates sound. The sound waves have two features associated with them that are volume and pitch. The ear of the living organisms perceives these sound waves.
The organs of hearing and balance can be categorized into three parts:
- External ear: The external ear helps in collecting the sound waves and directing it to the interior.
- The middle ear: The middle ear has the air-filled cavity.
- Inner ear: The inner ear has the sensory organs for hearing and balance.
