The most complex as well as largest cranial nerve is the trigeminal nerve. It offers overall sensory innervations to the face, the mucosa present in the mouth, the nasal cavity as well as the paranasal sinuses. Three branches exist of this nerve namely- ophthalmic, maxillary, and mandibular.
