To determine:

Whether the angles between the adjacent faces on the quartz crystals remain the same for each specimen of the quartz or it varies from one sample to another.

Introduction:

A contact goniometer is a specialized instrument used for measuring the angles of crystals. When a contact goniometer is used to measure the interface angle, it is placed on the edge of rules. This way, the straight edge present in ruler gets in opposite to one face. Similarly, the straight edge present in the protractor gets in opposite to the adjacent size.

The relation between the angle present in mid of the crystal faces and the size/shape of the sample.

Introduction:

The contact goniometer is placed on the edge of the rules to measure the interfacial angles of the crystal. It produces two numbers, in which one number appears above, and the other one appears underneath. The number that appears above is known as the interfacial angle.
