The surface tension of liquid in a glass capillary of internal radius 0.300mm at 25°C has to be stated.

Concept introduction:

Liquids are formed due to particles being apart for more than a few diameters.  These molecules interact to form the liquid phase.  The thermodynamic properties of liquids depend on the molecular interactions between the constituent particles as liquids have properties intermediate to solids and gases.  The attraction between the surface molecules in a liquid is termed as surface tension.  Due to surface tension, the molecules try to attain a minimum surface area.
