Introduction:

Genetic disorder occurs when a disease is caused by any abnormalities present in the genome of a human. Genetic disorders are rare and affect one person in every thousand. Genetic disorder can be hereditary which means it is passed from one generation to other through the parent’s gene if the defect has occurred in the germ line. Some genetic disorders are caused by new changes or mutations in the DNA. Genetic testing is done for testing any abnormality or genetic disorder of interest. Testing is done by either testing for a particular protein or by testing the DNA for genetic disorders. Testing of fetal cells and testing the embryo also help in determining the genetic disorders.
