Chapter 13.3, Problem 3AYLO
Summary Introduction

To discuss:

Proprioceptors role in somatic reflexes.

Introduction:

The reflexes are immediate or automatic involuntary action for response of an external stimulus. The reflex of external stimuli send the signals through nerves to reach the spinal cord for an immediate action. The reflexes share the four important criteria, such as are quick (involves minimal synaptic delay), involuntary (automatic in nature), stereotyped reactions of muscles (predictable responses), and stimulation (response against sensory input).
