Question
Chapter 13, Problem 8PE
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
Boiling point and its dependency on intermolecular forces has to be explained.
Concept Introduction:
Intermolecular forces are those that exist between the molecules that can be force of attraction or repulsion. These forces affect the physical properties of the molecule. Physical property is the property of matter that can be measured and distinguished with no change in the chemical characteristics of the matter. Physical properties include weight, density, polarity, melting point, boiling point and volume.
