Concept Introduction:

Temperature at which vapor pressure becomes equal to external pressure is termed as boiling point. Boiling point of liquid is termed as normal boiling point at 1 atm or 760 torr.

When pressure exerted by vapor comes in contact with liquid that pressure is termed as vapor pressure. It is also defined as the tendency of liquid to move towards its vapor state that is in equilibrium with the liquid.
