Explanation of Solution
From A, B, and C individuals DNA fingerprints of mosquitoes were obtained. These DNA fingerprints were matched with the types of mosquitoes ranging from 1-8 using a gel electrophoresis. After examining the given gel, it was seen, that first DNA fingerprint obtained from A individual matched with DNA obtained from 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7. As, the gel was examined further, it was observed that banding patterns of 3 and 6 number mosquitoes were matching aith A individual DNA fingerprint. So, A was bitten by 3 and 6 number mosquitoes.
The banding pattern of B is matching only with 5 number mosquitos, and the banding pattern of C is matching only with 7 number mosquito.
