The control of thyroid hormone regulation.

Introduction:

The thyroid gland is a part of the hypothalamic pituitary thyroid axis. It secretes the thyroxine, triiodothyronine, and calcitonin hormone. Thyroid releasing hormone from the hypothalamus stimulates the thyroid stimulating hormone from the pituitary which then stimulates thyroid hormone release.
