Spin–lattice relaxation time: The bulk nuclear magnetism develops by the weak interactions of nuclear magnetic moments of molecules having tumbling motions in solution. This development of the bulk magnetic moment along an applied magnetic field is due spin-lattice relaxation. It is characterized by a time constant called the spin–lattice relaxation time constant.
