When microbes can tolerate a number of antibiotics, which would generally be inhibitory, it is called drug resistance. Microbes have the characteristic of drug resistance as they have the incredible genetic versatility and adaptability property. During the antibiotic therapy, some opportunistic infections develop and they are termed as “superinfections”.
