Introduction:
The segment from every node to the other that is covered by myelin is called as internodes. The internodes are 0.2 to 1.0 mm long. A small section of a nerve fiber between the glial cell and axon hillock is known as initial segment. The initial segment and axon hillock play a major role in nerve cell initiation, so they are called as trigger zone.
