The process of therapeutic cloning.
Given:
The replication of human embryos to produce stem cells for the purpose of medical application is the therapeutic cloning.
Introduction:
Therapeutic cloning is also termed as somatic cell nuclear transfer that involves the removal of a nucleus from a somatic cell and injection of the nucleus to an unfertilised enucleated egg. The newly formed cell start divides and after 4 to 5 days the embryonic stem cells can be removed which are genetically identical to the somatic cell from which the DNA was removed.
